She loves the outdoors
Today we experienced our first temper tantrum, experimented with sippie cups, and spent lots of time outside despite the freezing cold weather. Darina has made it very clear that she prefers to be outside rather than stay in the same small room all day long, hence the temper tantrum. Here are some pictures from another fun day in Pavlodar.
She waited many hours to finally play outside!
At the playground
"Where do you want to go?"
She enjoys walking around more than actually playing on the playground equipment.
Practicing our English. Today she said "Good Girl" and "Car".
Kari made James and Darina stand in this gazebo to try to get good pictures but she ended up wanting to walk around on the benches.
Darina actually doesn't come to us looking as "put together" as you see in the pictures we post. This is what she looks like when they hand her off to us in the morning but after a wardrobe change and the hair styling expertise of Kari Letterneau, she ends up looking like...
THIS! She loves laying on this contraption and James rocks her back and forth while she giggles.
We love you all and miss home so very much.

Hi Guys, We missed you so much this Easter we needed one more egg hunter, I think Caden doesn't think that it is much fun with just him and his sister. I was so happy to hear about the progress Darina is making. I have never seen a child that smiles and laughs like she does. That surely is the joy in her heart. Thank you both for the love you have in your hearts.
Love Aunt Kristie
DEU 6:6 These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your
hearts.
7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
8 Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads.
9 Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.
12:28 Be careful to obey all these regulations I am giving you, so that it may always go well with you and your children after you, because you will be doing what is good and right in the eyes of the LORD your God.
oh kari, I couldn't be more happy for you guys. there is nothing more amazing then being a parent. congratulations to you both.
These pictures made me tear up! Miss you, love you, want you to come home soon with your sweet girl. Man is she cute! Love, Aunt Judy
Haha the pictures of her personal makeover make me laugh! You guys are such special people for giving her such a perfect family-I mean she is already looking so happy and loving and she looks like she has already made such a connection/bond with you guys-I can't even imagine how excited she will be when she gets to live with you and has a puppy and a kitty and her own room-What an exciting day to look forward too! Keep posting pictures-I LOVE looking at them!
Hi Kari and James, It is a wonderful thing that Darina is able to walk. She will make progress with your's and others help. This CP of Darina's will open up so many new areas for you to explore. You will meet new people and learn about breakthroughs in treatment of CP that will make your lives rich. The world needs more Kari and James in them. We are so happy to be your relatives. Love you, Aunt Kristie & Uncle Steffan
