Leaving the house this morning was quite surreal. We have played this day over in our head so many times and we can’t believe that we are actually on our way to Kazakhstan. My Mom and Dad picked us up this morning and we had lunch, said our emotional goodbyes, and are now writing this post as we wait at our gate. Our first flight is to Frankfurt, Germany and then, after a three hour layover, we’ll be on another 6 hour flight to Almaty, Kazakhstan. After spending the night in Almaty, we’ll be taking a short flight to Pavlodar, which is where we will be for the remainder or our trip. Keep the prayers coming. We are excited beyond belief!

P.S. We took Zoe and Jake to the dog park...everyone loved spunky adorable Zoe! She is adjusting well and ate all of her dinner!

Hi Guys, i am so excited it is so unbelievable that you ae finally going . How sweet your movie was and your home is beautiful, so wonderful of a home James and you have put together Kari. Day 2 with Zoe, She is doing very well Kari and James. She went for a long walk and is happy and eating well. Of course, she misses you too. Can't wait to hear about the baby house...you should get there today!! Love you and hope you slept last night. xoxoxo Mom
I wish I could have been there to see you guys off but not matter what I will be there when you get back. I cannot wait! I don't think I have ever been this excited about anything in my life. What a blessing you both are going to be in Ava's life.
