Today Ava said Dada for the first time. Dada didn’t get to hear it b/c she said it while he was gathering the sand toys and Ava and I were walking towards the baby home. Her language is very delayed so this was exciting. We have also been trying to teach her some signs b/c of the language delays and language differences. The one we’ve been really working on is “Hungry/Eat”. She’s got it down as of today!

She knew that Mama needed extra hugs yesterday.

I was so sorry to read your news of another delay---how very disappointing for the 3 of you. The picture of Ava giving hugs speaks to the bond that you've forged, in spite of different languages and backgrounds---you have done an amazing job! Hold on to eachother!

Oh honey I'm so sorry you have to wait till Tuesday. These delays have to be brutal, but hold on to the end result- Ava being yours forever.
