Just a quick note to let you all know that we are parents! Court this morning went pretty smooth and we're currently at lunch with some of our "entourage" that spoke for us in court!

Why We Are Adopting
Through lots of talking, thinking, and most importantly, praying, we decided that God wanted us to adopt our first child. Where to adopt from was the big question. After God shut the door for us to adopt from Guatemala, we began looking at Kazakhstan. We fell in love with the pictures we saw of beautiful children, rich culture, and gorgeous scenery. Most of all we felt the strong calling to be "Mommy" and "Daddy" for a child who otherwise would not have one. We are near the end of a long, emotional and draining process and we know that it will be worth everything once we bring little Ava home!

yaaaa!!!! at last! I am up at 5:45 a.m. to check the blog. There is a young lady at my work (City of Camarillo), who cannot WAIT another minute to hear the good news! She is soo excited. It is amazing how many people an event like this can encapsulate. Everyone LOVES a good story with a happy ending.!
