Heading Home

James and I are flying out tonight and will return in about a month to begin the process again. Saying goodbye to Ava today will be difficult. Our friend Emma has said she'll visit Ava three times a week and go through a picture album with her. We'll update when we are back in California. Pray for our baby.

I'm so, so sorry to hear this news. :( You guys have been on my heart and in my prayers all day today. I know that saying goodbye is going to be horrible, but I'll continue to pray for peace and comfort for all three of you... Much love...

We love you with all our hearts and know that Ava will be in your arms someday soon and forever! We are praying for all of you and know it is the hardest time of your lives. The good thing is that the baby house and Emma will be taking good care of her until you get to be with her again. She is a blessed little girl because so many people love and adore her. Give Ava kisses from her Mimi and I will be hugging and kissing you two soon. Safe travels...Mom

I'm so sorry things have turned out the way they have. I know the month will feel like it's dragging forever, but soon you'll be back in Pavlodar. You've made the best decision for your family and that's all that matters. Safe travels home and enjoy reuniting with loved ones. Soon Ava wil be with you forever.

Dear James and Kari,

we will miss you so much here in Pavlodar. Thanks for your support and friendship.
You made a good decision. We hope this month goes by quickly and the three of you can be together again.

I love all three of you and will be praying for Ava everyday while you are apart. And as you have found from experience, 4 weeks really isn't that long to wait before you are all together again. Wish I could be there to give you a huge hug when you get home. Love you all, Mom (aka Grandma)

Oh I am so sorry to hear this news. May God watch over not only Ava, but you two also. I hope this month goes by extremely fast, so you three are back together. You are in my prayers.
Have a safe trip home.

Oh my-I was gone for 4 days and I missed a whole lot!!!! Try and stay positive! I think a little time back home will do the two of you good-and like someone said 4 weeks is not all that long-look how fast 4 months went! It's nice to know that the people in charge there also see the amazing parents the two of you are and will fight for you! Have a safe flight! I am praying for your family...I know one day this whole experience will be just an amaziing story to he beginning of your family but right now I am sure it is tough! Hang in there!

Hi guys i am so sorry for all of you, i believe that Ava is still too young to have a long term memory of this she will be okay she has managed life alone so far and is still a very happy little girl. Stay strong i know it will be hard. I am certainly not the best person for talking about being strong. Buy lots of kleenex is probably in order. Keep your chin up and it is impossible to cry if you look up give it a try...And guess who is looking down on you as well. Love you Aunt Kristie and Uncle Steffan , Katie, Don Caden and Bella...

james and kari-
We can't imagine what you have been going through and what you are going through right now. Please know you are deeply in our hearts and prayers. Your dedication and willingness to fight for Ava is remarkable and we can't wait until the day that you have her in your arms forever-- love you guys.

PS-- Thinking of you as we are watching the All-Star game-- might even consider pulling for the national league in your honor : )

We got your text last night at 2 am. Typical for kaz. We just found out today that you both left. We are so sorry that we didn't get to see you before you left. Your both in our prayers and thoughts. As for your question we have to go back Friday for the decision. Take care and keep in touch.

Will they be "showing" her to local families while you are gone?
