Want to Help Support Our Adoption?

Ava is home! Naturally, Kari is itching to get back to her crafts, and now she has a new model! Continue to check out her blog to see the latest and greatest.

We now have a blog devoted to Kari's fundraising crafts! Please take a moment to browse the website and, if you like what you see, share this new blog with your friends and family! http://avaadoptionfundraising.blogspot.com/

The Big Day Is Almost Here

It was strange saying goodbye to Ava this afternoon knowing that after tomorrow she will officially be our daughter. We have waited a very long time for this day and we are ready for it to come and go! We will update the blog tomorrow after we are out of court but don't be worried if you don't see a new post right away...we may not be able to access Internet until after our afternoon visit.

The whole family enjoying the murals

Many of the murals around the baby home are being repainted. This is a new one so I took a picture of Ava in front of it and later asked Iliya what it meant. This is a Kazakh word meaning little camel. Camels are a traditional symbol of Kazakhstan and the term is also used as a nickname for young children.

Tomorrow is the big day! Thanks for your prayers for a smooth court experience.
