Court Update

We want to thank everyone for their prayers for court today. Everything went just fine but there is one, fairly insignificant document that we needed to have translated and notarized. Sveta did this in the afternoon and we will return this document to court tomorrow. So...One More Day!
We were in court all morning so we didn't get to see Ava in the morning. We visited her this afternoon but stayed in b/c it was windy and rainy outside. Seeing her this afternoon reminded us why we are going through all of this. She is worth every bit that we are having to go through. So soon, it will all be over. We will post tomorrow once we have the good news! To our families: We will call you when we are out of court tomorrow (even if it's in the middle of the night :)

We will be patient and know everything happens for a reason! What a beautiful family you are going to make! Pretty soon you will be California bound!! xoxox Mom

I agree with Pam, there is a reason for this delay and you may never know why but after a while in won't matter that it took an extra day to legally have your daughter. Hang in there, all three of you will be home soon. Love ya, Mom

California bound sounds pretty good doesn't it? We are having nice weather here in Camarillo, tiny amounts of "June gloom" in May, which is just like last year. But we are looking forward to a nice long 4-day weekend for me ... we are on 9/80 plan now ... 5/40 for me (tee hee) and we will be looking forward to your blog tomorrow. 24 little hours! What a difference a day makes.
God Bless! Richly! Love, Sandra Sherritt

Thankfully the document is fairly insignificant! My thoughts and prayers are with you for a great day in court..tomorrow!
You are right- soon this will be over, and your precious girl will be yours forever. I bet she can't wait!! (not to mention you of course!)
Take care!

By any chance did they mention if they would waive your 14 day period after the court date? ;-)

Kari,
Can you get me two more handbags? Thanks! You will be home soon and I don't want to regret not having a couple more! Love you! Mom
